A Walk in the park

Woodgate Valley Park
Our first Walk in the Park took place at Woodgate Valley Country Park on Saturday 11th July with around 50 people walking with friends and family in support of the charity.
Some even walked the 5km blindfolded with a guide to help them and navigated the muddy footpaths, stray twigs and overhanging branches to really earn the money from their sponsors (and learn more about the every day obstacles faced by the visually impaired)
Although it rained early in the morning the sun shone ready for when the walk started, and everyone set off with music played by the local Halesowen Scout Band. Everyone who took part enjoyed the walk along the country paths and after a hard slog up the final hill, were happy to recieve their medals upon their return.
