Focus Birmingham volunteers are an integral part of the charity, providing services at our Harborne site, in our service users’ homes across the city and in the wider Birmingham community.
As a volunteer, you will be assigned a Focus Birmingham staff contact who will support you with your volunteering programme, arrange any training that is required and ensure that the experience is rewarding and fun.
Volunteer roles cover a range of activities from administration to working directly with service users who are visually impaired or have other disabilities. If you would like to volunteer, all you have to do is have a look at our current opportunities listed below, decide which ones would interest you and then apply. Please click on the title of the role for more information about what it will entail as well as outlining the skills you may need and the level of commitment required.
If you would like to find out more about being a volunteer at Focus Birmingham, please contact the volunteer coordinator either by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: 0121 478 5221 (all volunteer queries will be answered from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday). We also offer a limited number of student placements in our day service for Health and Social Care students. But you will need to get in touch first as these are very popular.
