Fundraising Trustee

As one of the leading charities tackling visual impairment and disability in the Birmingham area we are currently seeking to appoint a Fundraising Trustee.

Focus Birmingham provides support to thousands of visually impaired people and those with other disabilities through a mixture of specialist clinical, care, information and support services. These are delivered at our main site in Harborne, a supported living unit in Kings Norton, a range of community locations and in people’s own homes.

We work hard to make a difference to: -

- Enable people to live more independently;

- Increase opportunities for people to exercise choice;

- Improve people’s physical health and wellbeing;

- Improve people’s emotional health and wellbeing and

- Increase people’s confidence to deal with life experiences.

Our ideal Fundraising Trustee will be someone with relevant fundraising knowledge and expertise who can assist the charity in respect of its fundraising strategies, income generation and development. 

Trustee roles are voluntary, with all reasonable expenses reimbursed. It offers opportunities for participation in areas of specific personal interest and has an estimated time commitment of around 50 hours per year, including committee and board meetings.

We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse Board of Trustees and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
