As a Casual Care Support Worker you will be assigned to one of our teams to support people to live more independent lives using our state of the art facilities to deliver enriching activities, assisting with personal care and eating.
Focus Birmingham is a specialist charity providing expert support, advice and information to anyone in the Birmingham area affected by sight loss or other disabilities and because sight loss and disability affects family, friends and carers, we will work with them too.
Our day services teams work with adults from the age of nineteen upwards, with no upper age limit, to deliver stimulating programmes of activities which are tailored to the needs of the individual. We specialise in working with people with visual impairment and other complex needs and providing appropriate support so that each person can achieve their full potential.
Although care experience is desirable we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction and a supportive team environment. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.
Our selection process aims to make sure that the role is right for you and you are right for us. It involves completing an application form, taking part in an interview/assessment process and visiting our service.
