Our day services team work with adults from the age of nineteen upwards, with no upper age limit, to deliver stimulating programmes of activities which are tailored to the needs of the individual.
This role involves providing support to the Assistant Managers in the supervision and direction of staff, ensuring the safeguarding of service users, promoting health and safety, supervising/managing the safe administration of medication, monitoring and supporting Care Support Works in the completion of Person Centred Plans, planning and organising community days and liaising with parents, carers and external agencies when required.
You will need a qualification in care; a minimum of NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent, have experience of working with people who have a visual impairment and or other multiple disabilities, be able to communicate with our client group preferably experienced in using Makaton, BSL or equivalent, be used to working towards and achieving operational objectives, managing a varied large and challenging workload, understand Health and Safety Protocols, and have experience of administration of medication, along with good IT skills.
