What to Expect

The festival will showcase the talents, achievements and experiences of disabled people through performances, activities, workshops, information stands and opportunities to connect with others from across Birmingham's disability community.

There will be something for everyone, whether you want to explore the festival, meet local organisations, enjoy the entertainment or simply spend time with friends and family in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Members of the Focus Birmingham team will be attending throughout the day and we'd love you to come and say hello at our stand.

Take Part in the Inclusive Walk

One of the highlights of the day is the Inclusive Walk around Aston University Lake.

Designed with accessibility at its heart, the walk is open to everyone regardless of age, mobility or ability. Participants can complete one lap or several laps, take part independently or with support, and join for as little or as long as they wish.

The route is fully paved and accessible, making it suitable for wheelchairs, mobility aids and people walking at different paces. Event marshals will be available throughout the route to provide support where needed.

Most importantly, there is no expectation to complete a set distance. The Inclusive Walk is about participation, community and celebrating Disability Pride Month together.
